The British Police Station (Jordanian)
This building, built in 1943 and designed by Sir Charles Tegart, is one of the most recognizable parts of the Memorial. The structure is one of many stations of the former British Empire and afforded the British control over a very large territory. The structure has many firing slits which provided excellent protection around the parameter. On the outer walls of the station, we can still see scars inflicted by the enemy in the War of Independence and the Six-Day War. These bullet holes have purposely been left intact.
