Yad Lashiryon Association
בשנת 1978 נרשמה "העמותה להקמת יד לשריון" מתוך כוונה מוצהרת מעצם שמה - להקים אתר הנצחה לחללי חיל השריון.
מייסדי עמותת יד לשריון - ברובם המכריע מפקדי שריון ותיקים החל ממלחמת העצמאות, חיפשו את הדרך המשמעותית ביותר להנציח את חבריהם לנשק, מפקדיהם ופקודיהם, שנפלו במערכות ישראל, וניסחו את חזונם כדי להגשימו מהר ככל האפשר.
במסגרת תקנון העמותה להקמת יד לשריון הוגדרו קריטריונים לצירוף חברים לעמותה ומוסדות העמותה, והוחל בפעילות אינטנסיבית להגשמת המטרה - הקמת אתר הנצחה ומורשת לחיל השריון.
המקום שאותו ייעדה העמותה להקמת יד לשריון היה בניין המשטרה המנדטורי בלטרון, שמיקומו הייחודי הוסיף ממד היסטורי הקשור בחיל השריון (ראה בפרק ייעוד וחזון).
The A.C.V (Armored combat vehicle) Museum
The collection is the largest ACV museum in the world, and includes more than 160 tanks and other assorted ACVs – each with a unique story about its participation in battles throughout history.
Information Center
Latrun Information Center includes detailed information about the Israeli armored corps and other armored corps world-wide, as well as a large collection of valuable books
Commemoration
The Commemoration complex in Yad Lashiryon includes all the monuments in the site. From The Wall of Names, via the entrance of The British Police Station (Jordanian), that includes the Gate of Valor, Tower of Tears, the Daily Memorial service, the Synagogue "Tzror HaHaim", the Chamber of Heroes, and the Merkava Hall.
Etz Hahaim Synagogue
"Tzror HaHaim" Synagogue is an integral part of the Memorial, which amplifies the experience of prayer and contributes to the somber atmosphere. It includes an Arc (Aron Kodesh) from 18th century Florence, as well as many unique and interesting Torah scrolls. The Synagogue is used extensively throughout the year.
